Wyebrook Farms Steer Roast, Saturday, November 19

Image: Wyebrook Farms

We told you earlier this fall about Wyebrook Farms, located just outside Downingtown, PA. However, last time we were talking pork, this time, we’re talking beef!

Wyebrook will host a family-friendly steer roast on Saturday, November 19th from Noon – 3PM. The beef will be roasted on-site by NYC’s Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors and their Meat Box, capable of roasting a steer up to 850 lbs. Farmer/owner Dean Carlson will be on hand to talk about his sustainable farming practices and answer any questions about the farm and of course, his cows.

Much of Wyebrook’s cattle includes Devon, Red Angus, Scottish Highlands and other heritage breeds from the Certified Devon Beef program. The animals graze naturally, eating grass-based diets and they never receive growth hormones or prophylactic antibiotics.

Guests are invited to explore the picturesque grounds and enjoy the complimentary steer roast which includes side dishes and non-alcoholic beverages (you can BYO if you like). Cuts of beef will be available for guests to purchase and prepare at home, alongside organic vegetables from neighboring farm, B&H Organic Produce.
