Raise Funds for Nutrition by Tasting Chocolate, Cheese and Wine

Next Monday, June 20, join John & Kira’s Chocolates at Cichetteria 19 (267 S. 19th Street)  for a Chocolate, Cheese and Wine Pairing Benefit from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.. The event is designed to raise funds for the Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative (UNI), which is a program (run by the University of Pennsylvania) that strives to improve community nutrition and health in Philadelphia through neighborhood partnerships. John & Kira’s uses the mint, rosemary and chili peppers grown by students involved in UNI in their Urban Garden Bars (pictured above).

In addition to the John & Kira’s Chocolates, Penns Wood Winery has donated wine and Shellbark Hollow Farm is contributing some of their handmade cheese. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here. If you can’t attend and want to contribute, click here.
