Power pair Michael Solomonov and Steven Cook are expanding to the Main Line this summer with Citron and Rose, a glatt kosher European-Jewish restaurant and catering company.
Chef Solomonov, a 2011 James Beard Award winner known for his modern Israeli cooking at award-winning Zahav, will use kosher practices to create new interpretations of old world Jewish dishes.
Joining Cook + Solo in the venture is owner David Magerman, a “food enthusiast” and philanthropist who created the Kohelet Foundation, which supports Jewish day-school education.
Citron and Rose will feature an open kitchen with a chefs counter, a comfortable dining room for up to 60 guests, and a marble topped bar where guests can enjoy the all-kosher cocktail, wine and beer list.
The menu will feature meat cooked over a charcoal rotisserie grill, house-made Jewish charcuterie, an assortment of traditional pickles, vegetable dishes and salads and freshly baked breads and desserts.
In addition, Citron and Rose Catering will be a full-service catering company for on- and off-site events.
Citron and Rose will be open for dinner Sunday through Thursday. The restaurant will be closed on Fridays and Saturdays in observance of Shabbat. To schedule an appointment with Citron and Rose Catering, email: events@citronandrose.com.
We’re excited to see the expansion of excellent cuisine to the Main Line, and of course, another venture from the masterful Mike Solomonov.
