Meritage To Offer Meatless Tuesday’s, Encouraging Diners To Cut Back On Eating Meat

Almost everyone has at least one vegetarian friend that, when dining out, is often stuck with an order of steamed vegetables.

Now you can treat that friend (and your own taste buds) at Meritage on Meatless Tuesdays.

Every Tuesday starting February 21, Meritage will offer a $35 per person vegan tasting menu as well as an a la carte menu featuring all vegetarian and vegan options.

Wanting to educate diners on the importance of reducing their meat consumption, Meritage is the first non-vegetarian restaurant in the city to dedicate an entire evening every week to non-meat meals.

But don’t think you’ll be stuck eating salads; selections from the large plates menu include Swiss chard ravioli with spiced carrot puree and roasted maitakes, and banana leaf wrapped mushroom lentil sticky rice with mushroom jus and tomato chutney.

Meritage also has a full bar featuring bottles of local craft beer, wine flights and specialty cocktails for you and your friends to enjoy. After all, February 21 is also Mardi Gras.
