Courtney Rozsas gave up a career in medicine to be a restaurateur—a healthy-living restaurateur. Inspired by Eastern studies linking eating well and well-being, Lotus Farm to Table is her pure and simple answer to the deep-fried fad.

Embracing the restaurant’s name, Chef Christopher Allen believes in seeking out the freshest local ingredients possible. Be it greens, meats, fish or cheese, Chef Allen is always thinking about provenance, quality and purveyor relationships. Lotus uses fresh produce from area growers like Happy Cat Organics, and sources grass-fed animal products from the Lancaster Farm Fresh co-op.

Lotus is also known for its mind-altering libations—teas. It’s hard to believe that a simple sip of tea has the power to kick the endorphins into gear, but that’s what happens after a sip of Lotus’ signature tea, Happy Tea. The restaurant has a long list of hand-rolled teas to choose from, and also some house-made spritzers.

The restaurant is located in Media, PA, right in the heart of the bustling Main Line town. Rozsas has big plans for expansion in the near future, bringing even more of the region’s bounty to her tables! In the mean time, a relaxing evening awaits amid the Asian-inspired décor, complimented by earthy aromas and fresh-from-the patch produce.
