Let Them Eat Cake, A Wedding Cake Competition And Fundraiser For City Of Hope, April 2nd

With wedding season just around the corner, it would behoove brides-to-be all over the Delaware Valley to attend “Let Them Eat Cake,” the wedding cake competition event of the year that will take place on Monday, April 2, at 6 p.m. at the Loews Hotel in Center City.

With 40 of the best cakes in the tri-state area, Let Them Eat Cake is Philadelphia’s premier wedding cake design competition for professionals, students and those who just love to be creative when they bake.

Cakes will be judged by VIP judges from the culinary arts/wedding industries, as well as local celebrities; in nine categories like Most Artistic, Best Tasting, and Best Overall; and in three levels: Professional, College and High School Vocational.

Whether you’re a bride or a groom — or simply have a wicked sweet tooth — this is the perfect opportunity to sample 40 scrumptious cakes from the best bakers around.

As a little extra, you’ll have the opportunity to visit wedding planning and service vendors, enjoy live music, drink complimentary champagne, obtain an awesome goodie bag and meet celebrity baker Sylvia Weinstock.

Plus, your $40 ticket ($50 at the door) will support cancer research by benefiting City of Hope, which is recognized worldwide for its compassionate patient care and innovative science and translational research.
