Inaugural Washington Crossing Brewfest Coming in May

We’ve just learned about a new Brewfest that will have area beer lovers rejoicing. On Saturday May 14th, more than fifty regional and national breweries will join the Friends of Washington Crossing at the Upper Park behind the Neely House, from 12:30-4:30 p.m. for the first Washington Crossing Brewfest. This is the very site where George Washington (a known beer aficionado) crossed the Delaware River in December 1776.

Along with food and live music, 2 ounce mugs will be provided to sample the variety of ales. Profits from the event support the continuation of the park’s historical and educational events. Tickets are $40, or $10 for designated drivers (you can also buy them at a number of physical outlets, if you prefer that style of commerce). For those of you who are social media fans, make sure to follow this fest on Twitter and Facebook.
