Whether you or a loved one is gluten-sensitive, or if you’ve heard the many benefits of going gluten-free and want to learn more, the Weavers Way Co-op Gluten-Free Day is for you. Gluten-free food tastings, cooking demos and informational sessions will run from Noon to 4PM on Saturday, January 28th at the co-op’s Chestnut Hill location.
Brands like Amaranth Bakery, The Little Bakery, Soap Nuts, and Bob’s Red Mill will be on hand and additional samples from other gluten-free brands will also be provided. Weavers’ always tasty hot bar and salad bar will also be completely gluten free for the entire day.
The event will feature cooking demos by Genevieve Sherrow, author of The Gluten Free Warrior and representatives from the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) will be on hand to answer questions about celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, gluten–free eating and more.
In support of the NFCA, Weavers Way will raffle off a basket of wheat-free and gluten-free items, raffle tickets can be purchased on-site.
