Two Opportunities to Enjoy Cheeses From Birchrun Hills Farm

Attention cheese lovers! You’re going to want to mark your calendars for next Friday, June 17. From 4 – 6 p.m., cheesemakers from all across the state will be throwing open their doors and welcoming visitors onto their farms for a series open houses. They’ll be offering tours, demonstrations and tastings.

The participating cheesemakers are Birchrun Hills Farm, Yellow Springs Farm, Doe Run Farm, Stoudt’s Wonderful Good Market, Dove Song Dairy, Calkins Creamery, Dean Farms, Keswick Creamery, Clover Creek Cheese Cellar and Pipe Dreams Fromage.

If you choose to visit Birchrun Hills Farm, they’re offering up more than just an open house. From 6:30 – 8 p.m., they’re hosting a cheese and beer tasting. Cheesemonger Paul Lawler and cheese writer Madame Fromage (aka
Tenaya Darlington) will be joined by cheesemaker Sue Miller and brewer Jean Broillet, IV of Tired Hands Brewing. This event is $25 per person. Call 610-827-1603 to reserve your space.
