For the second year in a row, Food & Wine has allowed the public to weigh in on its search for the People’s Best New Chef.
And for the second year in a row, Philadelphia is representing. This year, three of our local chefs are nominated for People’s Best New Chef: Mid-Atlantic:
• Pierre Calmels of Bibou
• Brad Spence of Amis
• Lee Styer of Fond
Double kudos for Styer and Calmels: the former is up for a James Beard Award for Rising Star Chef, the latter for Best Chef Midatlantic.
There are 10 nominated chefs in 10 regions throughout the country; the chef with the most votes will be named The People’s Best New Chef for 2012.
You can vote online starting today through March 11. Let’s make sure we bring the award home!
