According to the Greensgrow newsletter that landed in our inbox yesterday, they are going to have a limited number of locally grown strawberries at the farm stand this Saturday morning. If you want to get your hands on some of these precious berries, you’ll need to be the proverbial early bird. However, if you’ve got a mom who loves strawberries, we can’t think of a better way to treat her for Mother’s Day.
It also makes us curious as to whether other markets will soon begin to have berries. We typically think of them as a early June treat but are wondering if those warm spring days we in April got things moving a little faster than normal.
If word of ripe strawberries doesn’t get you going, Greensgrow will also be selling an assortment of plants and flowers that are leftover from the flower show at 50% off and many of their veggie starts are in as well.
