Support local food and the folks who do it right at Slow Food Philadelphia’s Snail of Approval event, Monday, November 14th at Reading Terminal Market.
Slow Food Philadelphia, the local chapter of Slow Food International, is dedicated to saving disappearing food traditions, traditional food products and celebrating everything local.
Slow Food Philadelphia’s Snail of Approval is a directory of restaurants, food and beverage artisans and markets that meet Slow Food’s standard of quality, authenticity and sustainability. In partnership with organizations like Fair Food, Slow Food will celebrate their first round of snail-approved businesses at Reading Terminal Market on Monday, November 14th.
This food-focused event will showcase tastings from 24 local purveyors (see the full list below the jump) and will also include wine, beer and music. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door (cash only). You must be 21 to attend.
Proceeds from this event will support Slow Food International’s project “A Thousand Gardens in Africa” and locally CATA, The Farmworker Support Committee and The Urban Tree Connection.
