Slow Food’s eighth annual fundraiser with Farm to City, “Good Food, Good Beer and the Rest is History,” returns to The Shambles at Headhouse Square, Saturday, July 21, 6-9 p.m.

Both organizations, centered on educating communities about the importance of a healthy nutrition and eating local/sustainable goods, will add food trucks to this year’s event along with local brews from Victory, Stoudt’s, PBC and Earth Bread + Brewery.

While there seems to be at least one event every week that involves Philadelphia’s roundup of roaming lunch trucks, we support Slow Food, Farm to City, their missions and honestly, who can get enough of good grub, beer and outdoor events in the city? No complaints here.

Expect eats from Sweet Box, Vernalicious, Chez Yasmine and Foo Truck offering Chinese and Taiwanese inspired dishes in addition to food demos and market vendors during the open air event.

Tickets are on sale online at $30 per person ($35 at event) which buys you unlimited beer and a sampling of bites from each food vendor.
