Getting old is not a bad thing. Shank’s Original is celebrating their 50th anniversary with retro-priced sandwiches.
Throughout the entire month of September (that means today!), Shank’s is featuring their roast pork sandwich for 79 cents, usually priced at $6.
Shank & Evelyn’s popular luncheonette opened in the Italian Market back in 1962, back when Johnny Carson launched late night TV, McDonald’s introduced the 50 cent hamburger and the Beatles had invaded America.
Today, Shank’s Original carries on the legacy from so many years ago, including a menu based on Shank’s original recipes. All month long, you’ll be able to enjoy Shank’s sumptuous hot roast pork, dripping with au jus, and nestled between a fresh baked roll for just 79 cents, after 2 p.m.
Shank’s is open Sunday-Thursday 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m.
