PHS Pop-Up Garden Q&A Session and Evening Movie Screening This Thursday

photo by M. McClellan for GPTMC

Our favorite Center City Pop-Up Garden is opening up this Thursday for two fun events. Wander over at 12:30 for the second installment in the Philly Homegrown/PHS gardening series. This week, bring your questions about container gardening as well as any other growing odds and ends that might be teasing your brain. A certified master gardener will be on hand to answer all your gardening queries.

Later in the evening, PHS will be hosting a free screening of the film Olmsted and America’s Urban Parks. This documentary premiered at the Philadelphia Museum of Art last year and will appeal to anyone who is interested in how the urban landscape came to be. The movie will start promptly at 8 p.m. They have plenty of folding chairs, but for extra comfort, we recommend bringing a cushion or two.
