As we’ve reported earlier, Philly Homegrown is partnering with Center City District’s Restaurant Week to encourage all participating locations to showcase at least one dish that uses the bounty of vegetables, fruit, meat, poultry, seafood or herbs available in the Philadelphia region.
In an effort to help you eat your way through the two weeks of Restaurant Week, September 12-16 and September 18-23, GPTMC’s newest foodie app, Foodspotting, will feature a “Philly Homegrown: Center City District Restaurant Week” guide highlighting fresh, local dishes on Restaurant Week menus.
How Foodspotting Works:
GPTMC’s Visit Philly is a featured destination on the mobile web and online tool, helping users find and share good food. On Foodspotting, you can recommend your favorite dishes and drinks by taking photos and sharing them with the community via the Foodspotting website or smartphone apps. You can also bookmark foods you want to try, endorse your favorites by giving them a blue ribbon or a “nom,” gain points and expert titles, follow other users and guides and earn badges by “spotting” food items.
