COOK, the much-anticipated project from Audrey Claire Taichman, owner of Audrey Claire and Twenty Manning Grill, will opens its doors at last on September 6.
Sponsored by Philadelphia magazine, COOK is a state-of-the-art, 16-seat kitchen-classroom where guests will prepare and enjoy meals with the help of A-list Philadelphia masters of food and drink.
A sampling of the classes on offer include Grill Master: The Rouge Burger with Rob Wasserman and Michael Yeamans, Chocolate + Wine = Heaven with John & Kira’s Chocolates, Modern Asian Small Plates with Michael Schulson, La Cuisine Française With Peter Woolsey of Bistrot La Minette and ?uest Loves Food at Cook (yes, that Questlove of the Roots).
In short, it’s a serious lineup of the cream of the crop of Philly’s food and drink scene. You get a front-row view of them working their craft, plus hands-on lessons so you can replicate the masters’ work at home.
Additionally, the boutique retail space at COOK will sell cookbooks from around the world, specialty food periodicals, private label pantry items and unique food products, gifts and fun kitchen gadgets.
