Don’t you love it when you can indulge for a good cause?
Since you’ll be looking to buy pies for Thanksgiving anyway, why not order one online and have the proceeds go to feeding those in need in Philadelphia?
For the 16th year in a row, MANNA is running its annual campaign turning pie sales into donations for individuals in eight counties of the Greater Philadelphia area.
This year their goal is to raise $200,000 in order to provide nearly 60,000 meals. You can help them do that by ordering one or two pies from their selections: apple, pumpkin, pecan and sweet potato are all just $25 a pie, and US Airways Sky Pie Cheesecake with caramel, chocolate and walnuts is $35.
The last day to order pies online is Friday, November 16, so get yours now while it’s fresh in your mind.
They’ll have more than 30 convenient pick-up locations around the Greater Philadelphia region where you can come claim your pie on the Tuesday or the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, November 20 or November 21.
And don’t worry, if you forget to pick up or simply choose not to, they’ll be sure to donate it to their clients. Double donation.
