Main Line Restaurant Week

Main Line Restaurant Week 2011 kicks off April 4 this year, and lasts until April 10. Many restaurants in and around the mainline will participate, branching out to include the entire western Philadelphia suburban region.

AroundMainLine.com organized the first Main Line Restaurant Week in fall of 2010, and it was a booming success, being called “Philly’s largest dining event.” This year, diners have the option of choosing 3-course prix-fixe meals from various restaurants, ranging from $20 to $50 dollars. Be sure to check the website for the special restaurant week menus, and the Twitter and Facebook pages to hear about all the great giveaways AroundMainLine.com is offering. This week White Dog Wayne is giving away a $100 gift card!

Harvest Seasonal Grill will participate, bringing fresh, local ingredients to the table for only $30 dollars. On the menu are treats like Lancaster Farm Fresh hanger steak, grilled with fingerling potatoes and Birch Run blue cheese. Harvest has a commitment to offering local, organic food and drink whenever possible; on draught Harvest offers the seasonal flavor of Peak’s organic brew, and even offers a Pennsylvania red.

White Dog Wayne—White Dog’s newest location—is participating as well, at the slightly steep price of $50. But after examining the menu, you’ll see your $50 will be well spent on an exciting 6-part meal. Chef Grainda has created a lovely, local menu, with rich starters like house-cured duck prosciutto and aromatic entrees like Meadow Run spicy lamb Bolognese.

There’s a little something for everyone—from a $20 straight-forward meal at a Villanova sports bar to a lavish $50 menu at White Dog Wayne. AroundMainLine.com has paired up with Open Table to make reserving tables easy—be sure to do so!
