Linvilla hosts a variety of family-friendly events and festivals throughout the year that are usually themed according to the produce of the season. Enter: Linvilla’s Apple Festival, returning this weekend, September 22-23.

Keep the doctor away with an apple (or dozens); you can pick-your-own starting at 8 a.m. and take home as many as you can carry to bake up delicious apple treats. You can also purchase those freshly baked treats directly from Linvilla’s farm market.

From 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Makin’ Music will be performing songs to get the kids up and dancing. Costumed characters will show up at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. for great photo opps.

Then the Apple Pie Eating Contest, featuring Linvilla’s deliciously famous pies, begins at 2 p.m. (registration starts at 11 a.m.). There are three age brackets: 6-10, 11-16, and 17 and over.

That’s not all. Enjoy hayrides, pony rides, face painting, children’s entertainment, games and contests, candy apples and lunch at the Linvilla Grill.

Plus, Linvilla’s annual season-long Pumpkinland is up and running through November 4 with piles of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes.
