Geechee girl chef Valerie Erwin
This Saturday, May 14, Mt. Airy’s Geechee Girl Rice Cafe is the place to be between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. That’s when they’ll be hosting their first ever Jazz Brunch with trombonist Brent White providing the music.
The menu includes shrimp bisque, barbecue ribs (with slow cooked collard greens and macaroni and cheese), crab cakes (with jasmine and slaw), orange current scones, salmon cakes (with rice salad and a tomato salad) and French toast stuffed with a sweetened ricotta cheese filling.
Brunch costs $35 per person and includes a copy of Brent’s CD (sounds like a bargain to us!). To make your reservation, call 215-843-8113.
