Introducing An Extra-Green SEPTA Guide to Area Farmers’ Markets

Headhouse Farmers’ Market runs each Sunday from May through December. Now, thanks to SEPTA, you can figure out how to get there via public transportation for an extra-green outing. (Photo by R. Kennedy for GPTMC)

Thanks to Curbed Philly, we’ve discovered a handy SEPTA map to Philadelphia area farmers’ markets; check it out here.

It’s a great tool to help you plan out your locavore shopping with an extra-reduced carbon footprint. Each spot on the map is within walking distance of public transportation. The map also provides schedules for the markets.

It’s no wonder SEPTA was just named the best large transit system in North America by the American Public Transportation Association.
