Nothing says warm weather days quite like a tube of beef smothered in colorful condiments and sandwiched between buns.
We’re talking hot dogs, and we’re super into COOK’s upcoming class “Dog Gone It,” featuring a collab with Keith Garabedian of South Street’s Hot Diggity and famed Philly hot dog illustrator and enthusiast, Hawk Krall.
On Saturday, July 28 at 7 p.m., the duo will roll out eight rounds of regionally encouraged dogs drawing inspiration from cities known for their popular handheld specialties, as well as share a lesson on the history and places behind the food.
Garabedian will also reveal new versions of Hot Diggity’s menu items; expect a twist on a Chicago classic with the Depression Era Dog, German styles and the Detroit Coney topped with beef heart chili.
In addition, the shop’s homemade sodas and Carolina slaw will accompany the courses for class-goers to enjoy.
As with many of COOK’s classes, this one is sure to go quickly. 11 seats remain, so hurry up and register online.
