Honest Tom’s Taco fans, don’t despair! Once the truck closes for the season, you’ll still be able to get your taco fix whenever you need it.

Drexel grad and shop owner, “Honest” Tom McCusker, is opening a brick-and-mortar location of food truck favorite and Best of Philly 2011 Food Truck award winner, Honest Tom’s Taco Shop. The permanent University City location is slated to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner (BYO) upon this season’s conclusion of food truck service.

First opened in summer 2009, the Honest Tom’s Taco truck brought a myriad of flavors to the area: sweet potato, fish, chicken-and-pork and even plantain tacos. Honest Tom is well-known for his breakfast taco, which is guaranteed to spice up your mornings! This tantalizing taco is served on a soft tortilla with scrambled eggs, crunchy home fries, fresh guacamole, cheese and for those carnivores out there–choice of sausage.

Get excited–there are rumors of burritos and tamales on the store’s updated menu! Be sure to check Honest Tom’s Twitter and Facebook often to get up-to-date truck locations and info about the opening. ¡Viva el Taco!
