Green Aisle Grocery, South Philly’s favorite spot for local and specialty food items, recently announced a new partnership with neighboring restaurant Le Virtu. Green Aisle will now carry an array of Le Virtu’s housemade goods, including quarter pound packages of pancetta, capocollo, and duck prosciutto, pint jars of both duck and lamb ragu and half pint jars of marinated zucchini.
This is not the first time that Green Aisle has partnered with an area restaurant to carry some of their specialty products in the shop. You can also find falafel and hummus from Zahav, ice creams from Franklin Fountain and cured meats and fish from Kennett Square’s Talula’s Table.
What’s more, Green Aisle recently got a three-page mention in the February issue of Food & Wine Magazine. Looks like a national audience will now know what we’ve known for a while – those Erace brothers are doing a whole lot of things very right.
