Flying Fish Brewing Company

Initially founded online, Flying Fish was the first virtual brewing company

Gene Muller’s Flying Fish Brewing Company began on the internet as the world’s first virtual microbrewery. As its online presence grew, so did the demand for a bricks and mortar facility, which Muller built in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, in 1996.

In the intervening years, Flying Fish has tripled its output, making it the largest of 20 craft breweries in the state today. Flying Fish’s roster includes four full-time styles (Belgian Abbey Dubbel, ESB, Extra Pale Ale, Hopfish IPA), in addition to a variety of seasonal beers and an Exit Series, which commemorates stops on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Flying Fish beers are widely available throughout the Delaware Valley and Mid-Atlantic region, and its brewery is open for tours and tastings on Saturdays.
