Flavors of the Avenue Coming to East Passyunk on April 30

In the last few years, East Passyunk has transformed from a stretch of sleepy retail storefronts into one of the more vibrant (and delicious) areas of the city. In order to celebrate their many fabulous restaurants, the East Passyunk Business Improvement District is currently working away to organize the 5th annual Flavors of the Avenue.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 30 and will feature tastes from Birra, Cantina Los Caballitos, Chhaya, Chiarella’s, El Zarape, Fond, Fuel, Green Eggs Cafe, Izumi, Le Virtu, Lucky 13, Mamma Maria, Mondial Cafe, Paradiso, Plenty, Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar, Salt and Pepper, Stateside, Stogie Joe’s and Tre Scalini.

Flavors runs from 12 noon until 5 p.m. and is held on the 2-block stretch of East Passyunk Avenue between Dickinson and Morris Streets. Tickets are $50 for VIP passes (which grants the holder access to the tent from 12 – 1 p.m. and guarantees tastes of everything) and $30 for regular admission. Both ticket levels include wine and beer. All tickets purchased prior to April 25 are $5 off. This event has sold out in the past, so make sure to get your tickets now if you’re interested in attending.

Don’t make plans to leave the neighborhood when Flavors is over. From 5-8 p.m., area shops and salons plan on holding a Flavors Fashion Crawl and The Bottle Shop will be hosting a Beer Tasting Block Party.
