Explore Our Local Food Stars With Foodspotting and Philly Homegrown
Last week, we mentioned Visit Philly’s new partnership with Foodspotting, the site that lets you share the delicious dishes you eat throughout each day. As part of this collaboration, we’ve created a series of guides designed to help you discover and enjoy all the tasty tidbits that Philly has to offer.
The best way to use these guides is to create an account on Foodspotting and then follow Visit Philly or just the individual guides that most appeal to you. Then, as you eat your way through the guides, snap a photo or two with your camera and upload them to the appropriate stops along the guide. That way, you’ll have a record of all the flavors you encountered. Sounds pretty darn good to us!
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, we suggest tackling the Local Food Stars guide. With 15 stops, this one will take you all across the city and region in search of things like whoopie pies from Flying Monkey, canele from Market Day and gelato from Capogiro. If you can’t cram it in over a single weekend, worry not. The guide will be there for you to work on throughout the summer.
