Today is a good day for beer! We recently heard two very good pieces of news for Philadelphia’s beer scene:
1) Victory Brewing Adds Second Brewery
Victory Brewing Company announced today that they will be expanding this spring and opening a new brewery in Parkesburg, PA. The second Chester County location will allow Victory to better meet customer demand and continue to develop tasty new brews.
The new brewery location was chosen because of its similarities to the original brewery in Downingtown in that it’s located close of the headwaters of the Brandywine and was an existing facility that Victory could re-purpose.
We think anything that leads to more Victory Beer is definitely a smart move!
2) The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia To Launch Philly Beer Loft
The Four Seasons will open the Philly Beer Loft in a new area of the upper lobby dedicated exclusively to local beer service Monday through Thursday from 5-7 pm.
Each afternoon, the Philly Beer Loft will offer specially priced beers from local Pennsylvania breweries such as Dock Street, Victory, Yards and Yuengling. Beers will be $5 including tax. In addition, beer lovers will be able to enjoy house-made snacks like truffle-flavor potato chips (um, yum!).
So, it seems then that it’s perfect timing for Victory to be able to produce more beer as the Four Seasons provides another great venue to enjoy it all.
