Primo Hoagies, has teamed up with our parent organization, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation and Philly.com/food to hold a competition for the new ‘With Love’ Hoagie, in support of GPTMC’s With Love, Philadelphia XOXO® campaign.

Entries are currently being accepted now through Monday, October 24th at 5PM. Design your recipe using Primos 60 ingredient list (yes, 60!) and your recipe should represent the “soul and spirit” of the Philadelphia hoagie. The winning sandwich will be sold at over 70 Primo Hoagie locations for one year and the winner’s name will be on all Primo signage.

On Monday, Oct. 31, five finalists will be selected to prepare their recipes for the judges (Nick Papanier Jr. of Primo Hoagies, Michael Klein of philly.com/Food and sportscaster Anthony Gargano) and the public at the With Love Philadelphia Primo Hoagie Invitational, on Nov. 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rotunda at the Shops at Liberty Place. The public is invited to sample the finalist’s hoagies (while supplies last) and vote on a winner.

Three prizes will be given for the top hoagie in each category – Judges Choice (grand prize winner), People’s Choice from the Invitational, and the People’s Choice from Philly.com/food voting. Prizes include:

Grand-prize Winner:
Creation named on signage in every Primo Hoagies location, gift package that includes Eagles tickets and a two-night Philly Overnight® hotel package with free parking and check-in gift.

People’s Choice Winner From the ‘With Love Philadelphia Primo Hoagie Invitational:
Two tickets to an Eagles game, courtesy of Primo Hoagies, and a With Love gift bag with koozies, shot glasses, bottle opener, post cards, teddy bear, wrist bands and a “It was only a hoagie but it changed my life” jacket from GPMTC.

People’s Choice Winner from Philly.com/food:
Top vote-getter will receive two box seats to a Flyers game, courtesy of Primo’s, and a With Love gift bag with koozies, shot glasses, bottle opener, post cards, teddy bear, wrist bands and a “It was only a hoagie but it changed my life” jacket from GPTMC. The winner will be announced at the Invitational.

So, get in the kitchen, start building that hoagie and GOOD LUCK!

The Fine Print:
Submissions must be received by Monday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. via email at hoagiecontest@glosspr.com. Include the recipe, the preparation and your name, address, phone and email. The five finalists will be notified on Oct. 31, and must agree to compete at the Invitational on Nov. 3. Contestants are required to provide their own transportation to the event. Judges’ decisions are final, and all entries will become property of Primo’s. The finalists will have access to a slicer, bain marie (aka a double boiler), oven and nitro warmer.
