Beer Camp Philly 2011 This Saturday Night at the Jamaican Jerk Hut

Philly Beer Week kicks off tomorrow night. This means that the city and surrounds will spend the next week+ in a euphoric state of beer soaked celebration. Recently, we posted a list of good bets for getting local during beer week as well as an invitation to the opening of the With Love Beer Garden at the Four Seasons.

Thing is, there’s still one event we particularly want to draw your attention to. Called Beer Camp Philly, this gathering is a celebration of local home brewers. No big guys here, just 10 teams of hard core local hobbyists who want to share their passion (and their beer) with you. They’ve made nearly 100 gallons of beer for the event in more than 20 different styles, so make sure to come thirsty (and hungry too, there will be a spread of food from the Jerk Hut available for your noshing pleasure).

Tickets are $35 per person and include beer, food and a pint glass with a 4 ounce tasting line printed on it (I still have mine from the 2009 Beer Camp and cherish it). Click here to get yours.
