April White, Author Of The Philadelphia’s Chef Table, To Host A Book Signing And Cooking Demonstration With Chef Kevin Sbraga, October 8th At Reading Terminal

How many times have you sat in one of our venerable restaurants pondering, “How the heck did they make this”? Well, ponder no more!

Local food writer and member of the extra spectacular Food Trust team, April White, has recently released a stellar cookbook, The Philadelphia’s Chef Table, containing some of the city’s most beloved recipes (Han Dynasty’s Dan Dan Noodles, anyone?) from it’s most celebrated chefs (Marcie Turney, Michael Solomonov, Kevin Sbraga and more).

The cookbook is also more than just recipes, it’s one of the best guides to eating in the city. Most of the 75 recipes are preceded by a short narrative about the restaurant, chef and neighborhood. It is both a must have for any Philadelphia food lover and for out-of-towners you are trying woo with Philly’s amazing food scene.

Accompanying the chef narratives and recipes are also mouth watering photos from Philly’s favorite food photographer, Jason Varney.

Additionally, on Monday, October 8th you have the opportunity to meet April White at La Cucina at the Market in Reading Terminal for a book signing and free chef demonstration. Chef Kevin Sbraga will be on hand showcasing recipes from the cookbook. The event will be hosted by former Philadelphia Inquirer food columnist Rick Nichols who will lead a Q&A with April and Chef Sbraga. Books will be sold on site by Reading Terminal’s own Cookbook Stall.

The cookbook can also be purchased locally at COOK and Open House. More information can be found on April’s website.
