A Full Plate To Host Their 6th Annual Rib-Off In Liberty Lands Park On Saturday, September 8

As long as summer’s going strong, so is the barbecue.

A Full Plate Cafe’s 6th annual Rib-Off returns for an afternoon of all-you-can-eat ribs, grilled veggies and tacos on Saturday, September 8 in Liberty Lands Park.

From 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. enjoy the intense competition in three separate categories: the Rib-Off, Vegetarian Quickfire and Anything-Goes Taco Takedown. Sounds delicious!

Interested in showing off your barbecuing skills? A Full Plate is currently rounding up brave grill masters in restaurant or amateur teams. To sign up, send them an email or swing by the cafe in Northern Liberties.

For the second year in a row, some of the event’s proceeds will go to Teens 4 Good, a local charity that works with youth to transform vacant lots into urban gardens and farms, empowering them to become healthy, responsible young adults.

Admission costs $20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. It includes all-you-can-eat ribs, veggies and tacos along with the cafe’s classic smaller plates. Philadelphia Brewing Co. will also be on site providing beverages.

Check out the Facebook event for more details.
